Day 142

Today was a very unproductive day for me. So here are some things to tickle my (and your) funny bone.
And by the way...
Sorry.

Day 139

Alright, so I know I've been neglecting the blog lately, and I'm sorry.
I've just been so busy lately with volunteering and school that I completely forget about the blog.
But I'm here now, and I'm writing...
While I was volunteering today at track & field, I got a few questions about my tattoo.
'Is it real?' 'Did it hurt?' 'Are you sure it's not just a stick-on?'
This usually happens when my ankle isn't covered, and I'm around new people. Anyways, I've been addicted to tattoos ever since I got mine last August. My dad said that every summer, we can go back to the same guy and get something done, if I want to. And I do, trust me.
Tattoos are something I've always been interested in.
The pictures above are some ideas that I've had in my head, and I want your opinions on them.
What do you think about tattoos? Do you have any tattoos? If so, what are they of?

Day 136

Sorry about the four-day hiatus. Please forgive me, I've just been very busy lately, and I haven't had time to upload.
Anyways, on Thursday night, Demi Lovato's episode of Grey's Anatomy was on. Being a fan of hers, I decided to watch it. The last time I saw Grey's Anatomy was the season 5 finale, Now Or Never, where T.R. Knight's character George O'Malley was hit by a bus. I could explain the rest of the episode to you, but I'm tired, so look it up online if you're curious.
Back to the point... As I watched the show and reminisced on past episodes, I remember always loving George. He was funny, cute, and an all around good guy.
I miss him.
I love Shane Dawson and all of his quirky characters. He always seems to brighten me up when I'm having a horrible day. So thank you Shane.
Finally, before I bid you adieu, here is something to make you uncomfortable and giggle at the same time.

Day 132

At school today, we had a very intense presentation from a former paramedic.
He explained to us the dangers of alchohol, drugs, and being under the influence while driving. This also includes texting while driving. The pictures were extremely graphic. The videos were hard-hitting. The stories were unbelievable.
But the thing is, that's the only way the message is going to get across to teens my age. You need to be blunt and to the point, no matter how much it may hurt.
What are your views about drinking/drugs? Do you text when you drive, or do your parents?

Day 130

While I was walking home today after I got off the bus, an old lady cutting her grass started talking to me. Being the polite young woman that I am, I took my headphones out of my ears and had a nice conversation with her. While we were talking, I couldn't help but notice how shaky her hands were. I felt so terrible. I know she's old, and it'll be her time to go soon, but she was just so sweet and nice.
I wish there were more old people like her in the world. Some elderly people can be rude and snotty. Thoughts?

Day 128

I love my mom, I really do. It may not seem like it sometimes, but my love for her is there. She does everything for me; cooks, cleans, and puts a roof over my head. I don't think there should only be one day a year to show our moms how much we love them. We should be doing that every day. Happy mothers day, from my family, to yours.

Day 128

A few days ago, Miley Cyrus released the music video for her brand new song, 'Can't Be Tamed.' All I can say is WOW. She looked absolutely stunning. However, quite a few people think differently about her new look.
In the video, Cyrus is dressed in a very different manner, but unique and beautiful nonetheless. After watching it, many people complained about Cyrus being a bad role model for kids, and that she's dressing and acting like a slut, blah blah blah.
First of all; she's Miley fucking Cyrus, she can do whatever the hell she wants.
Second; no one is forcing your kids to watch her music videos. She's 17 years old (going on 18 in November), she most definitely isn't going to remain a straightedge Disney star for the rest of her life.
And lastly; Slut: A dirty, slovenly woman. An immoral or dissolute woman; prostitute. Miley Cyrus is certainly NOT a slut, or a prostitue for that matter. Just because she's wearing something for a music video doesn't make her any less than a normal human being. I mean, she's not sleeping around, she isn't partying into the early hours of the morning, she's not selling her body for money. She's just a normal girl doing what she loves.
She may be doing something you don't exactly enjoy, or find 'normal,' but you can't hate her for being herself. Think before you speak next time.

Day 125

It's been raining the past few days in my town.
I absolutely love it.
I find the rain brings so much life into me.
I love dancing in the rain, and splashing through puddles in my rubber boots, and reading a book by the window while it's pretty much a torential downpour outside. I remember when I thought thunder was when angels were bowling, and it rained when God cried. I was such a crazy kid...
The only thing I don't enjoy when it rains are the worms. They're gross, and slimy, and wiggly, and gross.
What do you like/dislike about rain and thunderstorms?

Day 123

Just a few things to brighten your day (and mine).
I wasn't having the greatest day today, and these pictures made me forget about life's little hardships, even if it was only for a few seconds.

Day 121

Drop Dead Fred; anyone remember this movie? Well if you've lived under a rock your entire life, I'll fill you in a little bit...
The original 1991 movie starred Phoebe Cates as a young woman who battles with her controlling mother and womanizing husband, and finds comfort and confusion with the appearance of her childhood imaginary friend.
When I was younger, I was absolutely in love with this movie. I remember my cousin and I rented it once and watched it so many times that it broke and we had to pay the movie store back. I'm sad to say that I haven't seen the movie since.
Even though the movie was a box-office bomb, it's still my absolute favourite movie of all time. It taught me that no matter how tough life gets, I'm still a kid and I have a long way to go in life. I should always remember to have fun and just be myself.

"If something's not working properly, the best thing to do is to tear it apart to make it better." - Drop Dead Fred (Rik Mayall)
ps. This movie is going to be remade with Russell Brand as Fred, due out in 2011, life is great!
